With a commitment to real community and an emphasis on true collaboration, AHCDC has partnered with numerous organizations to provide more than 400 affordable housing units across the State of California.
From the outset, AHCDC works closely with municipalities and non-profits to identify critical housing needs.
In frequent partnership with these same parties, AHCDC moves to conceive development plans that optimize available properties, tax credits, capital sources and financing opportunities.
AHCDC then collaborates with consulting partners and financial advisors to guide the project through complex approval, application and permitting processes.
At the same time, AHCDC works with trusted partners to develop architectural plans, and secure value-focused construction bids.
Once approved AHCDC remains directly involved throughout the development process, including construction management and permanent financing.
Once completed, AHCDC works with additional partners to provide social service programming, tenant screening, leasing and long-term property management services.
The result is high quality affordable housing, designed to meet real needs and developed through a streamlined process of collaboration.
As a policy, AHCDC remains committed to engaging new partners and exploring new possibilities.
